In 2006/2007, there are 78 students studying Japanese as a degree subject and a total of 98 including elective students. Courses offered Japanese: Combined and Joint Honours subject BA(Hons) Asia Pacific Studies (Japanese) BA (Hons) Modern Languages BA (Hons) Japanese with TESOL Entry Requirement 200-240pts dependent on combination of subjects. Grade B in GCSE modern foreign language. Applicants with no formal qualification in a foreign language with sound academic records are usually invited to an interview and an apptitude test.
