UCLAN has about 2,200 Japan-related books in English. Resources in the main library are catalogued on an in-house computerised system. In addition, all materials held in the Language Learning Centre situated in the Department of Languages are catalogued on a separate in-house system. Expenditure on Japan related resources varies every year; in recent years, resources from the Japan Foundation's Materials
Donation Programme have helped UCLAN to build up its collection. UCLAN has an agreement with Lancaster University to share library and information resources.
