Postgraduate Newcastle has considerable experience of teaching Japanese language at postgraduate level, as evidenced by the Japanese strand in the MAs in Interpreting and Translating (11 students) and Interpreting (6 students).

The Integrated PhD in Japanese/English Interpreting and Translating currently has 10 students enrolled.
