Library and Information Resources

There are two Subject Librarians in charge of Japanese materials:

Joanna Cooksie (Humanities and Languages) and Nicola Barnard (Social Sciences).

Tel: 01865 483138

There is not a specific section devoted to Japanese within the library, i.e. the books are integrated into the general collection and therefore, it is not possible to isolate the number of Japan-related books. Expenditure is also made on a school-by-school basis. The library subscribes to 11 Japan-related journals in English and three in Japanese. The library participates in the interlibrary loan network and it is open to the general public for reference purposes. The library has, via the university computer network, access to a wider range of databases and other information.
