Related Activities Japanese Studies is part of the University's Institution -Wide Language Programme, the University Language Scheme. As such it is a subject open to all students at the University who may study a module as part of their programme or as an additional subject, depending on the regulations of their main programme. The Scheme is also open to staff at the University and to fee-paying members of the public. Japan Societies/Club Activities Currently there are no Japanese Societies. Future Developments Since the 2001/2 survey degree programmes in foreign languages have not been available. Japanese is only offered as part of the University Language Scheme. However, we would like to encourage students taking a module in Japanese to go on exchange programmes or courses in Japan. Problems Low demand means that the University is currently only able to offer Japanese as part of the University Language Scheme. |
